The Grocery Store Dilemma

Kia ora Bloggers!
I am incredibly sorry for not posting for ages!!! For maths, we have been learning about adding and subtracting coins. Mr Shaw gave us a very fun task to represent our findings. Create an awesome shop in Minecraft education. I went with a supermarket/Grocery store. We then had to create a problem to go with it and share it with a person so they could figure the problem out. After they had a go at adding and subtracting our problem, we needed to share it with our community, our blogs. I made a screencastify to show you my problem. I really enjoyed these tasks and hope I see more of these in the future. I really do hope you enjoyed my simple question too.
Do you know the answer?
Do you have a maths problem for me to solve?

Decimal Places!

Kia ora Koutou!
Ko Lucinda toku ingoa, and welcome to my blog.
Guess what? Lockdowns over!!
And to start off this week, we were assigned a maths task to create an animation about decimal equations and placing. Though it took me a little while to understand and I needed a little bit of encouragement, I managed to understand and put it into a problem. I worked with two girls called Holly and Ella to make this animation and I thought we did a really good job.
I hope you enjoy my animation and manage to learn something new today.

Its Karate time!

Ni hao Bloggers!
Another video has snuck around the corner, and this one must be exciting.
For Literacy, we had to recreate a scene out of a sports movie. I have chosen, "The Karate Kid'
The scene is the part where Johnny and Daniel verse each other in the all valley Karate tournament.
This has to be the funnest task EVER!
It was a challenge getting everybody into character and to know what they had to say but overall, I had a great time and I had some great laughs too.
I hope you will enjoy this video and the people who are acting.
I used a cool editing app called Kinemaster. It's really easy to use and great for editing videos.
What's your favourite sports movie scene?

Come to think of it, What does Water do for us?

Kia ora Koutou!
I hope you're all having a nice Lockdown and I am hoping that we might be going back to school next week. Here is another task from the Ocean Matrix. Firstly, we had to read some awesome facts about the Ocean. Then we had to make a visual of Canva with the info we had got from the site. I hope you guys learn some new cool facts about our Moana.
I thought that this was a fun and easy task to do, so if you're bored in lockdown try making your own decorative poster.
What cool facts do you know about our Moana?

Over fishing? No thank you!

Ni hao Team!
So far for Inquiry, we have been learning about ocean sustainability and how we can save our oceans. Our initial task was to create a wearable arts outfit out of plastics and base it on something that relates to the sea. But unfortunately, lockdown snuck along and now we are doing tasks of a Matrix. The task I had to do was create a video/animation and base it around fishing or fishing sustainability. I decided to go for... STOP MOTION!!
Just bear in mind that this is my first, and I mean FIRST! stop motion video. I sincerely apologise for the bad lighting if you can not see it. But most of all enjoy and I hope you get the message I am trying to send to you through this video.
What do you think of my stop motion? Do you know any interesting facts about Pollution or fishing sustainability?

Making Cinnamon Scrolls in Lockdown

Ni Hao Bloggers! Are you feeling empty, bored, hungry perhaps?  Well, I think I have a solution! Here is an amazing (But long) recipe for making Cinnamon scrolls. Why go to the supermarket and buy them when you can make them yourself. The recipe may take long but lockdown is longer, so go ahead and make some mouthwatering Cinnamon scrolls.

To be honest, I did get a little frustrated with the recipe as it gets quite messy but I actually find I thoroughly enjoyed it. But it's especially worth it when you get to the end! Give it a try and see how it goes.

What are you baking in lockdown? Have you made Cinnamon Scrolls?

Its Lockdown.... AGAIN!

My Poster to promote my Story

Kia ora Team! I can not believe it, It's Lockdown! But hopefully, we will all be back to school next week. Anyways, to make sure we are keeping up with work, my Homebase had a google meet and chatted about what we were doing and what tasks to do. For my literacy task, we had to create a horror story because for literacy we are focusing on, not only our TED Talks but Genre studies. We had chosen 'Horror' and here is my horror story. To give you a brief overview, it is about a girl who has a man that watches her in her room. Find out more by reading the story above. This was a really fun topic and I enjoyed writing this story.

What are you doing in Lockdown? Have ever written a Horror story before?
